The code analysis in Vax seemed way less complete. I have clang static code analysis already but I have to run it manually and go through the list manually which is much less convenient. The thing I liked more about R++ was the on-the-fly code analysis that seemed to follow a lot of clang rules. The refactoring is nice in both, but the built in refactoring seems to get the job done in most cases. The code completion feature of Vax isn't much different from the built in tab-complete, is it? Am I missing some sort of quality of life stuff here? ![]() Really, wish I knew if there was a solution here. It doesn't seem like it was maxing out my 16 gigs of ram, and they're running at 3533hz. ![]() I've used the demos of both but I can't decide if I absolutely need either of them considering the cost just for hobby dev.Įven with a good pc, both plugins brought noticeable lag to typing, and I haven't figured out any combination of settings that seems to alleviate that at all. I know this question gets asked periodically, but it seems that every major version of Visual Studio brings some of the features that these plugins used to fulfill so the discussion changes.
